DiddyBorg - Record movements

Hi,

I am new to roboting and python programming and have some general questions:

Is it possible to record the Diddyborgs movements and play it back, so to make it 'learn' a path to go.
Do you have an example script for this?

Is it possible to implement IR sensors and make it avoid barriers autonomously?
An example script would be helpful here as well.

Many thanks in advance.

PicoBorg Reverse with brushless ?

Was able to acquire a few of these for about $7 ea. My question: Which would be better to control these, pico or pico Reverse?

Ultrasound sensors on Diddyborg

Hi,

I stumbled upon this tweet which shows a Diddyborg with ultrasound sensors. Is there by any chance any documentation on how to build this setup?

Raspberry 3 vs Piborg

hello,
my question is simple

Raspberry Pi 3 - Model B - ARMv8 with 1G RAM is compatible with PicoBorg Reverse (O-PBGREV) ????

thank you :D

Diddy mechanical mod(s)

Sure would be interested in obtaining more of the Diddy stainless/metal base plates. Plastic is just fine for the top cover, I just need the rigidity of a metal base plate to withstand repeatedly rolling over rough terrain at high speed with a large, heavy battery.

Is it possible to issue commands?

Hey all, I'm interested in building a Raspberry Pi app, most likely in Python, that would send predefined commands to the software that controls DiddyBorg. Commands like forward slow, stop, turn left, spin right, etc, much like the web based-interface.

Would this be possible? Any info, places to start, etc, would be appreciated. :)

diddyJoy error and diddyWeb question

Hello,

First of all, does the diddyWeb script absolutely need the camera in order for it to work?

Second, I'm getting some kind of error when trying to run the diddyJoy script:

Traceback (most recent call last)
File "diddyJoy.py", line 109, in < module >
events = pygame.event.get( )
pygame.error: video system not initialized

Did I miss something?

Some info: I got this running on the Pi 3, got an official ps3 controller tethered via built-in bluetooth and diddySequence.py works flawlessly.

Rationally this shouldn't amaze me but it did!

When Diddy is switched off, if one manually turns one of Diddy's wheels the other two on that side turn as well!
I know it's electromotive force and not magic but I find it fascinating, and I thought physics was boring in school.
