Discussions and queries about PicoBorg Reverse

I have been trying to get the Borg to play a sound on a button press.
Playing the mp3 from the terminal works fine, but when I put it in the code, Borg seems to hang on boot. That is, none of the joystick commands work.
I am doing everything over SSH so can't see what is going wrong.
I've also looked at the MeArm script in the hope I could figure it out, but no luck.
These are the lines I have added to metalJoy.py
My lines are commented out.

I decided I wanted to have PS3 control but also the WebUI video feed, so on a whim, I simply added both the
@reboot /home/pi/metalborg/ps3MetalJoy.sh # PS3 Control
and
@reboot sudo /home/pi/metalborg/metalWeb.py # Web Control
To crontab -e
To my surprise, it worked ... albeit with occasional freezes on the video.
I then thought, it can't be hard to remove all the buttons and controls from the metalWeb.py so that it just feeds the video. I was wrong, again.

Here's a screen recording of DiddyBorg controlled from the superb Web UI, including the video live feed.

Ah yes! The part that doesn't involve WiFi. Well, not your WiFi at home anyway.
Simply tether your Borg to an Android device (ok, technically it's wifi) then launch the Web UI in the usual way.
The difference is that you and your Borg can go anywhere since the tablet is also your router.
I'm sure you have all thought of this anyway, but thought I post it just in case.
Here is our software example for using a #MeArm and DiddyBorg from the same PS3 controller.
Parts
In order to run this script you will need:
You will need to alter the top plate of the DiddyBorg so that the #MeArm can be attached.

Is it possible to access the actual encoder counts while the motors are moving?
When the motors are not moving is it possible to set and clear the exising
encoder counts?

Hello,
I got my DiddyBorg a few month ago, and it was running great.
Suddenly i started to get:

I was concerned that I might run over something that could catch on the cables coming off the PicoBorg Reverse, so I made this to help protect them.

Hope someone finds it useful.

I have Diddyborg which I would like to expand with additional features, including 2 servo (Pi Camera Pan/Tilt) and several HC-SRO4. Your new UltraBorg would seem to have the capabilities I am looking for. So, my question is can I use the Expansion Capabilities of either the UltraBorg and or the PicoBorg Reverse to connect the boards to each other using 2 - 3 pin cables which would then connect to the first 6 pins on my Pi2 using an addition 2 3 pin cables. I am trying to solve the problem that both boards want to connect to pins 1-6 on the Pi.

I really wanted to put a switch on mine, but the thought of drilling holes in him made me shudder.
So, if it don't exist, design it ... so I did.
It's nothing special, but it does the job perfectly for me.

Hi Guys,
My kit arrived today, very fast indeed, thank you.
I have been running through the pre build setup of my pi and have come across the following problem.
I think you would have a better insight if I paste, rather than try to explain, so here it is ...
