Discussions and queries about PicoBorg Reverse

I am thinking of purchasing a Diddyborg and have some questions?
What are the dimensions of the Diddyborg, and specifically what are the dimensions
of the upper deck?
What is the weight of the vehicle?
Do you supply blank panels to support additional devices above the existing top deck?
In reading previous posts I understand you are using netcat to receive video from the
on board camera. Are you able to send commands to the pi controlller using netcat.
Does netcat require specific software to interact with software generated commands?

Hi,
Just wanted to know exactly what kind of DC motors, the motors that come with the Diddyborg are.

Hi,
Is there some sort of playback function that I can include in my piece of code to automatically repeat my manual operations of the Diddyborg? I'm controlling manually with the keyboard using Putty. And want it to repeat my operations.
Thanks.

I happen to have my own Laser Cuttter (Epilog Mini). Would you release the file, so that I could cut the chassis on my own? This is for the DiddyBorg.
I'm a teacher, and this is a student project, so I'd like if they did more of the building.
That possible? Need the vector file for that.
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi,
When I run the diddySequence.py example on my diddyborg it runs immediately with all the wires from the keyboard and monitor still plugged in, I tried adding this line "@reboot /home/pi/diddyborg/diddySequence.py" to the bottom of the crontab file but can't seem to save the file when I've added it. Is there anyway I can add a line of code in Python to delay when the program actually starts to run?
Thanks
Alex

I want to control my stepper motor via the output of a IMU sensor with the IMU sensor interpretter program written in C++ (quite lengthy and complicated, not written by me). Is there C++ code to run the picoborgrev?

Try to run a bipolar stepper motor (QSH-5718-51-28-101).
Get this error
Failed sending motor 1 drive level!
Failed sending motor 2 drive level!
What does that mean, can't find the error on the web-site.
Thanks,
Bert

Hi!
What is the meaning of the red led on the PicoBorg Reverse? Mine is sometime on for a few seconds
I power the Raspberry Pi and the PicoBorg with the same 24V power supply in parallel and using a stepdown for the Raspberry
Could it be caused by a problem in the wiring or the power supply?
Thanks!

Is there any news on if/when the 6V high torque motors for the Diddyborg will become available again? Or can someone suggest an alternate?
I'm building something similar but articulated in 2 planes and autonomous ..... I've hacked a RC car for the time being.
