power sources

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good 12v+ power source to use with my robot

Currently using 12 AA rechargeable batteries but would like to replace with a power bank or 12v battery pack etc

Just curious if anyone has any recommendations on what they have used successfully?

Short circuit ?

Heeeeeeelp! I'm making a robot using a RPi3 and a PicoBorg Reverse. I'm using a USB 'Powerpack' to power the Pi and 6 x AA rechargeable batteries to power the motors via the Reverse. The problem I'm having is that every time I switch on the power to the motors (the battery holder has a switch) they behave as if they've been short circuited.

when i run diddy2sequence.py
i get the LED from RED to GREEN.

and doing nothing.
When i check the voltage between m2+ and m2- zero, also m1+ and m1- zero.

any idea whats wrong happening.

Adding buttons to Web GUI

Hi, I read a post by @Adam about using voice recognition and adding extra buttons to it. I'd like to do something similar but without voice recognition but would like to add more buttons and a second Picoborg Reverse and be able to control all the motors via the Web GUI.for speed control
Ive managed to create buttons for various speeds.
Idealy I would need buttons for forward/reverse,left and right ( M1+M2 Picoborg Rev 1) and forward/reverse (M1 Picoborg Rev 2).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Control Diddyborg V2 with wired Xbox 360 controller

Hello,

I bought a Diddyborg V2 with a Raspberry Pi 3 B+. I would like to control it through a wired Xbox 360 controller. However, when I use the script provided on the PiBorg website, the controls don't work properly. It's because they suit the PS3 controller. So I have to modify the "# Settings for the joystick" part, but I don't know how to find the right values for my controller. Could you help me please ?

My diddyborg drove off a table.

Not actually my diddyborg but one I have invested a lot of time and effort into. Up until last night, this specific robot was internet controllable and asked one of my coworkers if they could be put on their desk and then immediately proceeded to drive off. It cracked the middle plastic sheet in half. Is it possible to buy a new piece to replace it, or is its shape available for download to cut with a laser cutter?

DiddyWeb security

I've resurrected my Diddyborg after installing a 12000mAh pijuice Li ion battery. I was wondering how secure it is to run DiddyWeb.py the python gui over the internet. I am thinking it would be worth just remotely activating (which I can do with node-red) but I cant find a way to then kill the server after I've finished. I succesfully added buttons to the python GUI but after much googling could not find a command that would self terminate the server. Any ideas.Or are there any other ways of keeping it secure?

Joystick buttons latching

I'm using a picoborg reverse. I have a motor connected to one side (M1) and a cluster of LED's attached to the other (M2). I can vary the intensity oh the LED's by using the joystick example. when I let go off the joystick the Led's turn off.
I would like to be able to press a button and have the led's (M2) stay on at half power, when pressed again stay on at full power and when pressed again turn off.

on a similar note is it possible to press a button on joystick and turn camera on and off.

Is this possible ?
